Automatic Disc Filters
Plastic filters are generally filters made from plastic materials designed to clean the flow of liquids or gases and trap particles. These materials are preferred for their high durability and chemical resistance. Like any filter type, plastic filters are designed to separate specific substances and trap particles. The effectiveness of the filtration process can vary depending on the application, design, and material of the filter. They are used in various industries such as automotive, water purification systems, chemistry, pharmaceuticals, and food.
Automatic disc filters are electronically controlled fully automatic backwashing filters. For the automatic backwashing process to take place, no additional power is needed; pumping the water is sufficient. However, for the detection of contamination and the initiation of backwashing, the electronic control unit needs to be powered by an internal battery. Through the pressure generated by the energy taken from the pump, a fully automatic backwash is performed, cleaning the filter element, which means the filter self-cleans. The filtration process continues while this backwashing mechanism is in operation. The dirty water generated during backwashing is automatically discharged.
